
Oglala Man Sentenced for Sexual Contact

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that an Oglala man charged with Abusive Sexual Contact was sentenced on June 18, 2012, by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken. Christopher Lone Elk, age 43, was sentenced to 120 months' imprisonment and 5 years' supervised release and ordered to pay $100 to the Victim Assistance Fund. Between September and November, 2010, near Oglala, Lone Elk engaged in sexual contact with a 13 year old girl. He pleaded guilty on December 1, 2012. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah B. Collins prosecuted the case. Lone Elk was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal. |
